Corporate Spending Drives Results

DELLThe PC maker’s profit more than doubled to $0.48, crushing the $0.37 estimate, driven by strong corporate sales. DELL pops 7 percent in the pre.

Deere Raises Guidance, Jumps

The farm equipment manufacturer reported earnings of $1.20, beating the $0.99 estimate. Revenue was $6.12 billion, ahead of the $5.67 billion forecast. Management also raised its full-year profit forecast. DE rallies 4 percent before the bell.

Century Aluminum Crushes Consensus

The metal producer reported fourth-quarter profit of $0.64 a share, almost triple the $0.23 analysts had expected. Revenue was also about $10 million ahead of forecasts. CENX climbs 5 percent before the bell.

OfficeMax Drops on Weak Revenue

The office-supply retaier reported profit of $0.16, ahead of the $0.11 estimate. But, revenue at $1.77 billion was behind the $1.79 billion forecast, and OMX drops 9 percent in the pre.

ValueClick Soars on Strong Report

The marketing company reported fourth-quarter profit of $0.31 a share, beating the $0.21 estimate. Guidance was also better than expected. VCLK soars 12 percent before the bell.

Comcast Up on Ad Spending, Services

The cable giant’s fourth-quarter earnings were $0.34, beating the $0.32 estimate. Revenue was also strong, driven by advertising and growth in premium services. CMCSA climbs 3 percent before the bell.
